With its mountainous landscapes and old traditions, Merry-Go-Round, has the beauty of picturesque postcards. Here, time stood still. But this memorial museum, static and wheathered, is brought to life thanks to a childish cheekiness : the protagonists are having fun, tickle each other, bicker while riding on the merry-go-round. Their old age make them enjoy the moment more, living life to the fullest. But they don’t forget their past or the mourning. This movie, funny and melancholic at the same time, talks about the simple joy of being alive and the cruel necessity for lives to end so that others can take their turn.<\/em><\/p>\n
