In rural Sardinia, the days are punctuated by the gestures of craftsmen and farmers, which resonate in the villages.
With long sill frames, the directors create a simple reality that seems immutable. This dramatization that avoids the pitfall of the idealization of the rural world, begins on the poetry of a landscape and of time passing by. Details are slowly revealed, sounds gain in importance. The singing at the same time unusual and familiar are leaving the traditions’ sphere, to create a raw and unvarnished emotion. The formal boldness of the movie immerses the viewer in a soft transe that ends at the edge of lands, in a bluish sunset.
