The Pace of Water

The Pace of Water

Antonio Di Biase

An old shepherd leading his flock in the mountains, a pious widow undertaking a pilgrimage, an old retired sinner. Three contemplative portraits of old inhabitants of the Abruzzo region in Italy, and the same ancient relationship to time, to nature.
An organic work, about matter and elements. Antonio di Blase films these people and their environment as if he wanted to reveal their full depth. What is moving in his gesture is this way of observing a world that disappears, like an enchantment that moves away. (Paul Facomprez)
