Life at a Snail’s Pace

Life at a Snail’s Pace

Alexandra Gaulupeau

Marla Coppolino, an American biologist, devotes her life to research on an astonishing species : the snail.

Marla Coppolino cherishes, since her childhood, a passion for snails, a passion that is not far from obsession. She’s not just interested by the biological charecteristics of the animal, but she nurtures an affectionate relationship with the subjects of her studies. She observes, praises their beauty and the camera is embracing her look : we’re as amazed by the specimen that she observes than by her own marveled expressions. Life at a snail’s pace, is a lesson about meditation, but also about ridiculous passions pushed to the extreme.
